The yet to be launched Ciaz sedan can now be booked at the nearest Maruti Suzuki dealership, and it has already received over 3,000 bookings within 3 days. The company started accepting orders on September 3 for INR 21,000 at all Maruti dealerships across the nation, and until now, apart from the booking confirmations, it has also received 10,000 – 12,000 enquiries.
The Maruti Ciaz petrol will be powered by a 1.4-litre, K-Series engine, borrowed from the Ertiga, which will develop 95 PS of power and 130 Nm of torque. The Diesel variants will be powered by the popular 1.3-litre DDIS engine, which in its higher spec of tune will produce 90 PS of power and 200 Nm of torque. Both engines will come mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox, however, the petrol version will be on offer with 4-speed automatic too.
