Mahindra has launched the new XUV300 TurboSport in India between ₹10.35 lakh to ₹12.90 lakh. The XUV300 TurboSport gets an all-new 1.2-liter T-GDi engine which is the range-topping engine available in the compact SUV’s range. This new engine is available in W6, W8, and W8(O) variants. Mahindra claims that the XUV300 TurboSport is the fastest ICE SUV under ₹15 lakh. Bookings and deliveries for this new variant are set to begin on the 10th of October. Let’s take a look at what’s new:

The XUV300 TurboSport gets a new Bronze color option. There is also an option for a Black dual-tone roof for the same. Other color options include white with a black roof and black with a white roof.  The front features the most significant changes wherein the front grille houses Mahindra’s new Twin Peaks logo. The grille has been blacked out as well and it gets red accents. The same red accents can also be found below in the air dam. The rest of the design elements remain the same with the familiar projector headlamps with LED DRLs which extend down towards the fog lamps.

The side features new 16-inch alloy wheels which were recently introduced in the current model. The ORVMs are blacked out and the lower half of the doors feature some sort of cladding. The rear is more or less the same with the only change being that the variant badge now comes colored in red. The interiors get an all-black theme with Black leatherette seats. Other than this, there are silver accents on the dashboard, center console, and steering wheel and It also gets new chrome-finished pedals. In terms of features, the XUV300 TurboSport comes loaded with dual-zone climate control, 6 airbags, front parking sensors, a front tire position indicator coupled with a 7” infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple Carplay, push button start/stop, rain-sensing wipers, etc.

The biggest change is the new 1.2-liter three-cylinder turbo petrol motor that is mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. It produces 130hp and 230nm of torque( 250nm with over-boost function). It can do 0-60 km/h in 5 seconds and returns a claimed mileage of 18.2 km/l thanks to the idle start/stop technology. This new engine produces 20hp and 30Nm more than the current 110hp, 1.2-litre turbo-petrol unit. Both the engines will co-exist and Mahindra will carry over the 1.5-liter diesel engine as well.
