The Mahindra XUV500 has done a world of good to the Indian UV giant. The XUV has not just taken the entire segment by storm but has also enabled M&M to establish itself in some of the export markets. The Mahindra XUV500 is light years ahead of the Scorpio and is a clear indicator of how far Mahindra has come since the days of its first SUV.
While we have already reported enough about the upcoming petrol and automatic variant of the XUV, it has now emerged that M&M is working on improving its high selling vehicle to do away with some of the complaints that it has received from its customers.
It is being said that the updated XUV500 will sport an updated braking package to do away with the spongy feel of the current setup. Also, the new brake setup will take care of the noisy character of the current system. Like the current setup, the updated brakes too will feature an all disc+ABS system on all variants.
The other major improvement that the car is currently undergoing is that of the infotainment system. Customer feedback says that the infotainment system is marred by a few niggles with GPS and reverse camera. The upgraded XUV will come with more reliable infotainment & a new voice command system.
Other minor changes to feature on the updated XUV include a new upholstery and slightly spruced up interiors. The XUV500 refresh might be out by the end of next month. Stay tuned.
