Mahindra XUV 500 has to be one of the most successful products from the Indian auto manufacturer. There have been times when demand has far exceeded the supply and M&M needed to take several measures to keep the waiting periods from swelling. The carmaker has sold more than 35000 units of the popular SUV within first year of its launch. The XUV 500 also has an All Wheel Drive variant on offer and such has been the response to the top end variant of this car that Mahindra had to stop taking bookings of the W8 AWD to prevent the backlog of orders from reaching stratospheric heights.
Now that the capacity constraints at manufacturing facility have been sorted out, Mahindra has resumed taking the bookings for the all wheel drive version. The booking amount for the car remains INR 40,000 and the waiting period is around two months.
