Mahindra Imperio (Genio face-lift) premium pick-up spied; to launch on January 6, 2016

Mahindra Imperio

Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (M&M), today announced that it will be launching its Premium Pick-up Range on January 6, 2016. Christened Imperio, this new Pick-up is conceptualized and developed in house at the Mahindra Research Valley at Chennai. The Imperio will be manufactured at Mahindra’s manufacturing facility at Chakan Plant

The Imperio will battle it out in the small CV space, where Mahindra holds 53% market share (YTD November 2015) in LCV segment (with less than 3.5 ton load).  This pick-up is designed to cater to the needs of small and medium businesses (SMEs). As for the appearance, the grille is refreshingly different from whatever we’re used to seeing on Mahindra vehicles lately. Five, “floating” elements in the grille give it a distinctive appearance, yet make it instantly recognizable as a Mahindra.

Since we are the market leader in small commercial vehicle segment, I am sure that with the addition of the Imperio, we will consolidate our leadership in the commercial vehicle space even more”.
