The tagline for the Mahindra Bolero reads, ‘Take on Anything’. It surely is taking everything else in the segment head-on and coming out trumps, as year after year, it continues to be the highest selling vehicle in its segment.

The Bolero sold 6748 units in the month of July 2014, while the Innova, which is more of a premium MUV now, sold 5590 units. The Toyota is closely followed by the Maruti Ertiga, as 5428 cars were sold last month. The Mahindra Scorpio saw 3443 customers lapping it up. However, as the Honda Mobilio has joined the competition alongwith the refreshed Scorpio, which is expected to be launched during the festive season, the rankings could see some changes.

Although the segment leader Bolero leads the sales tables, on a YoY basis, 207 lesser units were sold as compared to July 2013. In stark contrast, 4677 Innovas were sold in July 2013 and in the same month a year later, Toyota managed to sell 913 more units of the premium MPV. Similarly, the Ertiga, the Ford Ecosport and the Mahindra Scorpio witnessed increment in sales compared to the same month last year.
