Mahindra BE.05 Details Unveiled in Spy Shots

Mahindra, a household name in Indian automobiles, has been making significant strides in the electric vehicle (EV) segment. Following the recent launch of the XUV400 electric SUV, Mahindra is gearing up for the release of its much-anticipated BE.05. Here’s a glimpse of what we can expect from this upcoming electric car based on the latest spy shots.

Identical to the Concept

The spy shots reveal a striking resemblance between the BE.05’s design and its concept form. The car retains its muscular stance with prominent squared-off wheel arches and a sculpted bonnet. The aggressive front profile features sleek LED DRLs connected by a light bar, along with large air inlets and a blanked-off grille, signifying its electric nature.

Mahindra BE.05 Design Elements

The BE.05 boasts several eye-catching design elements. The split rear spoiler adds a touch of sportiness, while the raked rear windscreen and connected C-shaped LED taillamps with sequential turn indicators provide a sleek and modern look. The sloping roofline seamlessly integrates with the boot lip, further enhancing the car’s aerodynamic appeal. The massive front and rear bumpers add a touch of robustness, and the pillar-mounted rear door handle, similar to the XUV.e9, creates a unique design statement.

Production-Ready and Ready to Rival

These spy shots suggest that the BE.05 is nearing production readiness. The car is expected to be launched in the second half of 2025, positioned above the XUV400 in Mahindra’s electric vehicle lineup. Industry experts believe it will rival the Tata Curvv upon its release.

Previous spy pictures offered a glimpse of the BE.05’s cabin, which promises a radical departure from the conventional design. The interior boasts a driver-focused layout with a dedicated cockpit area. The use of twin displays for infotainment and instrument cluster, a floating center console with storage, a unique twin-spoke steering wheel featuring an illuminated BE logo, and strap-styled grab handles create a futuristic and driver-centric environment.

Mahindra BE.05 Expected Features and Range

Reports suggest the BE.05 will likely feature a 60kWh battery pack with a claimed range of around 450 km. It is expected to launch with a starting price of ₹ 25 lakh (ex-showroom).

The BE.05’s arrival signifies Mahindra’s commitment to electric mobility. With its bold design, feature-rich interior, and competitive positioning, the BE.05 has the potential to shake up the electric car market in India.
