Motoring events have been providing platform for young custom houses to showcase their talent with their one-off mod jobs. The Bike Build Off segment at the 2016 India Bike Week provided one such platform for custom motorcycle builder Faizan Saith and his company, Legacy Custom Motorcycles. This Belagavi based custom motorcycle builder Motorcycle top prize for its design in Bike Build Off segment of the 2016 India Bike Week.

The custom motorcycle, named Immortale, rose above from 30 entries and landed itself in the top five contenders for Best Bike Design of the year before grabbing the top spot at the 2016 edition of the motoring event. The motorcycle was scrutinized by a panel of experts surveilled the test.

If you are curious, the Immortale was built upon a Harley-Davidson 883 Iron motorcycle and underwent some serious makeover to before entering the competition. The body receives several custom made body panels that are painted in neon green paint. The body panels have been carved out from FRP fibre which helps in reduced weight.

Another noticeable feature is the girder suspension upfront and a mono-shock at the rear. A futuristic looking three-pod headlight looks straight out of a sci-fi flick and so does most of the motorcycle, especially in that green paint. The under-seat dual muffler exhaust system adds a sporty element to the former cruiser. The mod-job took a total of two and a half months.

How did we like the motorcycle?

The idea is intriguing but the finishing, at least in images, does not look convincing. The tank design reminds us of the Yamaha FZ-16, the naked roadster from Japanese two-wheeler major. That being said, we really appreciate the efforts and man-hours invested in the build and look forward to see more such awe-inspiring mod jobs from Faizan Saith and Legacy Custom Motorcycles.
