Veenu Paliwal, one of India’s renowned woman bikers, was en-route a national wide tour on her Harley Davidson bike when the catastrophic accident took place. She was accompanied by her fellow biker, Deepesh Tanwer. The nationwide tour was likely the International Chapter Ride initiated by Dunes Chapter Rajasthan and Harley Davidson. Paliwal was passionate about riding from her college days where she initially learnt her skills. Due to some reasons she had to put her passion on neutral and but couldn’t remain the same. After an unsuccessful marriage, the 44 year old shifted gears and rode back to her passion and rest is history. From riding puny bikes in college to Harley Davidsons to being named as the Lady of Harley in 2016 the woman had done it all. But little did anybody know that her journey of passion would be cut short by a tragic accident.
Paliwal was riding on the roads of Gyaraspur, a small district in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh when the mishap happened. Reportedly, her bike skid and she took a fall, even though she was wearing he safety gear she succumbed to her injuries. She was immediately rushed to a primary health centre and later shifted to Vidisha district hospital. The doctors couldn’t do much as she was declared dead on arrival at the district hospital.
There are reports that suggest that Paliwal had a minor accident and had just injured her hand and was left with slight bruises here and there. The suspected reason that took her life is said to be the inappropriate injection assisted to her by a medical officer that incited an allergic reaction. While some other reports suggest that a heavy blow to her torso caused fatal internal damage.
The news of Veenu Paliwal’s death came in as a shock and the social media was soon flooded with words of tears and condolences. The female biker community has lost their inspiration and source of motivation and the Harley Owners’ Group has lost their H.O.G. Rani (Queen). The renowned rider was a mother of two and was also known for her social work and activities. Paliwal was also planning to make a documentary of her Harley Davidson ride on completion of the tour.
Really sad
