The brand KTM has been rather successful in India, thanks to their ability to bring power packed performance at an affordable price tag to motorcycle aficionados in the country. However, thanks to the Government’s decision to discontinue the relief of charging reduced excise duty and hike rates, auto manufacturers in India have had to increase prices of their products. Unable to remain unaffected, KTM has increased prices of their motorcycles in India by Rs 6000 to 9000.
The RC390 when launched carried a price tag of Rs 2,05,000. The new excise duty rate has increased the prices to Rs 2,12,861 which is roughly Rs 8000 more than the earlier price. The RC200 will now retail for Rs 1,66,249, against an earlier price of Rs 1,60,000. Their naked sibling, the Duke 390, which retailed for Rs 1,80,942 pre-hike, now has a price tag of Rs 1,89,929. The cheapest KTM in India, the Duke 200 will now set you back by Rs 1,37,977 from its earlier price of Rs 1,30,787.
