KPIT, a product engineering and IT consulting solutions and services provider to automotive, manufacturing and energy & utilities corporations, announced that it is being honored with the Project Development Excellence Award 2014 by Volvo Buses India. The award recognizes KPIT’s quick project delivery that included hardware and software integration for the On Bus Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS). ITS creates improved urban transport in India enabling bus fleet owners and state transport authorities to gather and analyze data from the buses.

Designed for 24 x 7 uninterrupted operation, KPIT’s robust auto-grade On-Bus ITS, is tailored for Indian operating conditions, superseding several global specifications and is approved by ARAI as per UBS II specifications.
