Kia Motors is on the verge of launching a refreshed version of Seltos in India on the 4th of June 2023. However, the facelift version of Seltos is already present in a few markets across the globe.
Now, the spy video of the mid-variant of Seltos facelift has surfaced online. These images clearly depict the design elements in the mid-variant of the facelift version of Seltos.


Details about Kia Seltos facelift
Recently, a video of Kia Seltos’s facelift has gone viral, depicting its exterior elements. In these images, it is evident that the new Kia Seltos facelift will get a slew of notable changes in the exterior. The changes include a new grille with integrated LED DRLs, tweaked headlights, tweaked bumpers, skid plates, and vertical fog lights.
On the side profile, the new Kia Seltos will get new roof rails and redesigned alloy wheels for enhanced aesthetics. However, the main highlight will be the tweaked rear profile of the Seltos with the new connected wraparound LED taillights. Apart from the taillights, the facelift version of Seltos also gets a new bumper, shark-fin antenna, and a roof spoiler.

Interior and Features of Kia Seltos Facelift
Like the exterior, the carmaker will also tweak its interior with the addition of new features and a revised layout. In the spy shot, it is evident that the new Seltos will get a new infotainment system and advanced instrument cluster. The feature list will include dual-zone climate control, cruise control, ambient lighting, a 360-degree camera, a panoramic sunroof, ADAS technology, etc.
The Powertrain Options
At the heart of the matter of the Kia, Seltos facelift will be the new 1.5L 4-cylinder turbocharged T-GDi petrol engine. This new engine also powers the new Verna, Alcazar, and Carens, producing 160hp and 253nm of output. Meanwhile, Kia will also provide the 1.5L VTVT petrol and CRDi diesel engines. While the VTVT makes 114hp and 144nm, the CRDi diesel churns out 114hp and 250nm of output.
In terms of the gearbox, the 1.5L VTVT will be available with a 6-Speed Manual and CVT automatic transmission. While the 1.5L CRDi will be available with a 6-Speed IMT and 6-Speed Automatic Transmission. The new T-GDi will be offered with 6-Speed IMT and 7-Speed DCT gearbox options only.
The launch timeline, opinion, and the competition
The new Kia Seltos facelift is slated for its debut on the 4th of July 2023 while the prices will be revealed later. However, we can expect a sweet price point of Rs. 11-20 Lakhs Ex-showroom. The new Kia Seltos facelift will take on Hyundai Creta, Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, and Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara. Some other rivals are Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, MG Astor, and the upcoming Honda Elevate and Citroen C3 Aircross.
The Kia Seltos, introduced in 2019, has captured the interest of many due to its attractive design and impressive features. Moreover, the Seltos also have a sporty performance, and robust engines which appeal to the audience. Despite facing tough competition, this SUV continues to enjoy strong sales figures.
