Kia India to Expand Network Across India

Kia has unveiled its extensive network expansion plan, aiming to make its services more accessible than ever before.

The company has strategically increased its touchpoints to an impressive 522 across 236 cities.

Extensive Reach in Tier 1 and 2 Markets

With a focus on strengthening its presence in both Tier 1 and Tier 2 markets, Kia has allocated 40% of its total network strength to these crucial regions. Recognizing the significance of these markets in driving growth and brand visibility, Kia’s expansion strategy shows its commitment to serving diverse customer segments.

Targeting Tier 4 and Upcountry Markets

In a bid to broaden its reach, Kia is also expanding its touchpoints in Tier 4 and upcountry markets, which currently constitute 46% of its network capacity in India. By catering to these underserved areas, Kia aims to tap into new customer bases and establish a strong foothold in regions with upcoming automotive demand.

Growth Plans for 2024

Looking ahead, Kia envisions further expansion, with plans to increase its network to close to 700 touchpoints spanning 300 cities by the end of 2024.

Sales and Service Offerings

Kia’s network expansion extends beyond sales outlets to encompass a comprehensive range of service offerings. Presently, the company boasts 337 sales points, 350 workshops, and 59 certified pre-owned outlets. Furthermore, Kia is looking to elevate its certified pre-owned network to 100 outlets by the conclusion of 2024.

Commitment to Sustainability

Kia has introduced 20 Green Workshops across the country. These eco-friendly facilities harness solar power to fulfill 80% of their energy requirements and champion the recycling of water used in operations. With plans to establish an additional 40 Green Workshops by year-end and scale up to 150 by 2026.

Specialized EV Dealerships

In response to the upcoming electric vehicle (EV) market, Kia has appointed specialized EV dealerships equipped with personnel trained with expertise in EV technology. With over 150 sales points dedicated to EVs in India Kia is looking to capitalize the rising EV market in India.

Kia’s commitment to innovation and excellence has gained global recognition, with the recent award received by the Kia EV9 at the 2024 World Car Awards held in the New York Auto Show. Named both the ‘World Car of the Year’ and ‘World Electric Vehicle,’ the Kia EV9 highlights the brand’s spirit and dedication to pushing the boundaries of automotive excellence.
