Kawasaki extended its product portfolio in the Indian motorcycle market with the introduction of ZX-10R, ZX-14R, Ninja 1000, Z1000 and Z800. However, all these models are quite expensive and out of reach of many. But now, the Japanese two-wheeler major is all set to further add to its Indian product portfolio with the introduction of ER-6n and Z250. Kawasaki has confirmed that the launch date for these two products is scheduled on October 16.
The Kawasaki Z250 would be the new entry level motorcycle from the manufacturer for the Indian market. The Z250 is a toned down version of Z800. It can also be called the naked version of the Kawasaki Ninja 250R as it is powered by the same 249cc, four-stroke, liquid-cooled and parallel twin-cylinder engine that puts out 33 bhp of power. The ER-6n, on the other hand, is the naked version of Kawasaki’s touring tool, the Ninja 650. At the heart of the ER-6n is the same engine that is found on the Ninja 650. The 649cc parallel twin-cylinder, four-stroke, liquid-cooled and fuel-injected unit puts out 71.1bhp of power and 63.7Nm of torque.
