FCA India has announced the introduction of an all-new certified pre-owned vehicle business that goes by the name ‘SELECTEDforYOU’. The company says that with around 60,000 Jeep Compass SUVs on the road, the customers can now trade in any existing vehicle for either a new or a certified pre-owned Jeep Compass.
Similar to what True Value is to Maruti Suzuki or U Trust is to Toyota, Selected for You will be accepting cars from any brands which can be traded for a new or a certified pre-owned Jeep vehicle.
The American marquee had started a pilot project in select cities like Delhi, Hyderabad and Mumbai last year. Now, the company has officially launched the enterprise at 42 of its outlets across the country. Jeep India aims to expand to 65 dealerships by August 2020. Jeep India has also launched an official website for its certified car division.
Processes To Be Undertaken Before Selling A Car
Jeep claims that all used vehicles sold through this channel will go through a 125-point inspection. The company promises a thorough verification of past ownership, service history and an exhaustive road test before it is put on sale on the SELECTEDforYOU portal. All Jeep Compass’ sold through this channel will be offered with a 3 year / 60,000km warranty – whichever comes first. Jeep India will also top it up with 24×7 Roadside Assistance.

The Jeep India line-up currently comprises the Compass, its bestseller, along with several new luxury models including the new-generation Wrangler, Grand Cherokee and the Grand Cherokee SRT. The company has not confirmed if it will extend the pre-owned car business for the luxury segment for now. The company will be bringing in the Compass facelift next year to India followed by a seven-seater version of the mid-size SUV.
