Jeep Grand Cherokee Petrol Launched In India At INR 75.15 lakh (Ex-Delhi)

FCA India launched the petrol version of the Jeep Grand Cherokee in India, with prices starting at INR 75.15 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi). The Grand Cherokee Summit Petrol should not be confused with the performance oriented SRT variant. The company also announced upgrades in the entire range of luxury SUVs along with new prices.

The latest addition to the Grand Cherokee range is powered by 3.6-litre petrol engine that produces 289.6 PS of power and 347 Nm of torque. This engine comes mated to an eight-speed paddle shift automatic transmission. The Grand Cherokee’s Limited and Summit variants now get the new 75th anniversary fascia with ‘billet-like’ plating on the grille slots while the SRT gets upper and lower cooling intakes on the front fascia.

Also on offer are new 18-inch, high gloss silver painted aluminum alloy wheels that would be standard on the Grand Cherokee Limited, 20 inch, aluminum finished alloy wheels with Technical Grey painted pockets as standard on the Summit and 20 inch, polished alloy wheels with satin clear coat, standard on the SRT. The company will also offer 20 inch Matte Black split spoke alloy wheels on the SRT variant.

Jeep has also introduced air suspension which would now be standard on both the petrol and diesel Summit trim of the Grand Cherokee. Another standard feature would be the LED fog lamps that would be available across the entire range. The Jeep Grand Cherokee range will also be offered with two new colour including Velvet Red and Diamond Black Crystal apart from the previously available options such as Billet Silver Metallic, Bright White, Granite Crystal Pearl, True Blue Pearl.

On the Jeep Grand Cherokee, Electric Power Steering (EPS) replaces the electro-hydraulic power steering system for improved efficiency whilst vehicle dynamics can be adjusted providing three select modes – Normal, Comfort and Sport. ParkSense, a rear park assist system now includes a Start / Stop function that applies the vehicle’s brakes. All trims across the range now get an acoustic windshield which helps reduce noise and enhance comfort.

Grand Cherokee Limited Diesel: INR 75.15 lakh

Grand Cherokee Summit Diesel: INR 85.15 lakh

Grand Cherokee SRT: INR 1.07 crore

Wrangler Unlimited Diesel: INR 64.45 lakh

Wrangler Unlimited Petrol: INR 56 lakh (Price remains unchanged)
