FCA India launched the petrol version of the Jeep Grand Cherokee in India, with prices starting at INR 75.15 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi). The latest addition to the Grand Cherokee range is powered by 3.6-litre petrol engine that produces 289.6 PS of power and 347 Nm of torque. This engine comes mated to an eight-speed paddle shift automatic transmission. The Grand Cherokee’s Limited and Summit variants now get the new 75th anniversary fascia with ‘billet-like’ plating on the grille slots while the SRT gets upper and lower cooling intakes on the front fascia.

The company will also offer 20 inch Matte Black split spoke alloy wheels on the SRT variant.

On the Jeep Grand Cherokee, Electric Power Steering (EPS) replaces the electro-hydraulic power steering system for improved efficiency whilst vehicle dynamics can be adjusted providing three select modes – Normal, Comfort and Sport. ParkSense, a rear park assist system now includes a Start / Stop function that applies the vehicle’s brakes.
