This should be good news to all the Indian luxury car buyers who have always felt that the Jaguar XJ, the flagship sedan from the British car maker, isn’t luxurious enough!
Jaguar recently launched the new Jaguar XJ Ultimate Edition variant in Indian market. Jaguar claims that the flagship variant of its most luxurious sedan represents the very best of experiences for the rear seat passengers.
The Ultimate Edition is available only with the long wheelbase version, the XJ-L. The biggest changes to the exterior are the new air intake and new exclusive 20-inch Maroa forged alloy wheels with a dual-tone color scheme. Other minor changes include oval exhaust tips which come in polished stainless steel and ‘Ultimate’ badge.
On the inside, the car comes with two individually tailored rear seats with power adjustments, massage and ventilation functions. The two rear seats are separated by a full length central console that comes draped in leather. Table with piano-black and chrome finishing emerges from the center console at the touch of a button.
The car also comes with wireless headphones and two third generation iPads with wireless keyboards for the rear passengers. The rear passengers also get a champagne chiller positioned between the two rear seats. This is complemented by two exclusively made champagne flutes which are placed inside a cabinet beneath the centre table
The XJ Ultimate Edition has a Meridian surround sound in-car entertainment system that has 20 speakers positioned at various places inside the car. Jaguar claims that the Ultimate Edition comes with a revised suspension for added rear ride comfort.
The Ultimate Edition can be bought with either of the two engines-
5.0-litre V8 supercharged petrol (Cost- INR 1.87 crore)
3.0-liter V6 diesel (Cost- INR 1.78 crore)
