Isuzu Motors India has recently made significant changes to its top management team. Isuzu has appointed Mr. Rajesh Mittal as the new president of the brand. Isuzu has also appointed other employees to the top management of the team. While some of the employees have been transferred to different divisions of the company.
New President of Isuzu India
Mr. Rajesh Mittal has been appointed as the new President of the Indian division of the company. He has succeeded Mr. Wataru Nakano in the position of the brand’s President. He will be the first person of Indian origin to lead the Indian division of the Isuzu company. Meanwhile, Mr. Wataru Nakano will take on a new role as Head of Isuzu Vietnam Operations starting from April 2023.
Mr. Mittal has joined the IMI team in February 2022 as the President of Isuzu Engineering Business Centre India (IEBCI). Also, he handled the charge of the Deputy President at Isuzu Motors India (IMI). Since then, he has focused on strengthening the business and managing the essential projects of the company.
New Deputy President
Mr. Yasuhito Kondo has been appointed as the Deputy President of Isuzu Motors India. Previously, He was working in Regional Management Office at Isuzu Motors in Japan. Mr. Yasuhito has 28 years of global experience in sales operations and business strategy. He is well-equipped to contribute to Isuzu’s growth in both the domestic and export markets in India. His vast expertise will play an important role in accelerating the development and success of the region.
Line-up of Isuzu India
Currently, there are 2 SUVs in the line-up of the company. The Isuzu D-Max is a pick-up truck from a Japanese manufacturer. The D-Max boasts versatility and the capability of off-roading and towing loads with ease. The D-Max also serves as a lifestyle pickup truck with its V-Cross variant. While the S-CAB and Hi-Lander variant is focused on commercial buyers for towing purposes. And the MU-X SUV is oriented toward premium customers.
Both these SUVs are powered by a 1.9L diesel engine making 162hp and 360nm of output. The D-Max is available with either a 5-Speed Manual or Automatic Transmission option. But, the MU-X is only available with a 5-SpeedAutomatic Transmission. Both these SUVs are available with 4×2 or 4×4 drivetrain options to cater to a wider audience.
