The very popular Volkswagen Polo is expected to get a facelift before the middle of next year. The facelift will inject some freshness into the Polo hatchback and keep it going until the launch of next gen Polo. Seen here could be the first ever set of spy pics of the 2014 Volkswagen Polo facelift.
If these pics are anything to go by, the Volkswagen Polo facelift will come with a slightly modified front fascia that will get mildly revised headlights, front grille and front bumper. The biggest change will be that of the revised air intake. The Volkswagen Polo could also get mildly updated interiors and additional equipment.
The car is expected to carry over the set of engines from the current model, along with the inclusion of new 1.5 TDI motor. Internationally, the car will continue to be powered by the 1.2 Liter TSI motor for the petrol variants and the diesel models will get a new 1.5 Liter TDI turbo diesel engine. The India spec Polo facelift will continue to be powered by the current line up of engines.
India is close to getting two new Polo variants. One of these will be the Volkswagen CrossPolo that is basically a more rugged looking version of the popular hatchback. The CrossPolo has bigger wheels, plastic body cladding and higher ground clearance. Another Polo variant that is coming our way is the Polo GT TDI, which looks poised to become the hottest diesel B segment hatchback in India.
