Compared to its predecessor, the new E-Class LWB boasts impressive enhancements in dimensions. With a 15mm longer wheelbase, 20mm wider body, and 17mm increase in length, the E-Class LWB promises a spacious and luxurious driving experience. Notably, the elongated rear doors enhance ingress and egress for rear occupants, reflecting Mercedes-Benz’s commitment to passenger comfort and convenience.
Innovative Features
One of the standout features of the E-Class LWB showcased in China is the revolutionary Superscreen setup. This innovative system integrates three screens beneath a single glass panel on the dashboard, comprising a 12.2-inch instrument cluster, a 14.4-inch main infotainment unit, and an additional screen for the front passenger. While the availability of the Superscreen for the India-spec model remains uncertain.
Powertrain Options
Mercedes-Benz offers a diverse range of powertrain options for the E-Class LWB tailored to different markets. While the Chinese variant boasts a six-cylinder petrol engine lineup, the India-spec model is expected to retain the proven 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol, 2.0-litre four-cylinder diesel, and 3.0-litre in-line six-cylinder diesel engines.
