Hyundai pips Japanese rivals with record sales

Hyundai Motor has been piling up some record sales figures in the past few months. The success of the i-series of hatchbacks and a commendable improvement in product quality and after sales service has seen the Korean car maker rise above its competition in the last quarter. Speaking of which, Hyundai has achieved record last quarter profit second time in a row and more than triple the figure they achieved same time last year. These welcomes figures have come at a time when the rest of the industry is suffering from the economic downturn. With its healthy sales in India, North America, China and Europe, Hyundai has overtaken the Ford Motor Company to become the fourth largest automaker-by-sales in the whole world.
