Hyundai India Ties Up with Shell for EV Infrastructure

Hyundai and Shell have geared up together to build the EV infrastructure in India. For this, both these brands have signed an MoA Agreement as a part of charging infrastructure expansion. This collaboration depicts Hyundai’s commitment towards offering its customers a green and sustainable future.

Plans for this partnership

As a part of expanding the charging infrastructure, the charging stations will be established in various dealerships across the country. Moreover, Shell will also consider the installation of DC 120 kW Fast chargers instead of the 60 kW Fast chargers. This collaboration will encourage and gear up EV adoption in the country.

The network expansion plans of Hyundai

As of now, Hyundai India has an existing network of 72 dealerships across 45+ cities in the country. In its 1st Phase, Hyundai India has established public charging points across various authorized dealerships. Now, the brand has geared up for the 2nd phase of expanding the EV infrastructure including a partnership with Shell India.

In this phase, Hyundai will establish more dealerships with electric charging points having DC 60-120KW Fast chargers. With this expansion, the brand will deliver a hassle-free convenient experience to its customers. This collaboration is expected to set a new standard of customer experience, combining Fast Charging, Green Energy, and 24×7 support.

Such strategic partnerships are fundamental in accelerating the adoption of Electric Vehicles by customers to achieve the national goal of carbon neutrality. This partnership will power up the nations’ electric mobility mission by offering end-to-end EV charging infrastructure at HMIL Dealerships.”
