Hyundai has introduced the i20 Turbo Edition in the UK, with prices starting from £12,975 (INR 11.33 lakhs). The Turbo in the name refers to the 1.0-litre T-GDi turbocharged, three-cylinder, petrol engine that powers this particular variant of the i20. The engine, which is strapped to a 5-speed manual transmission, is rated at 100 PS at 4,500 rpm, while produces 171 Nm of torque at 1,500-4,000 rpm. The i20 Turbo Edition has a CO2 emissions rating of 104 g/km and a fuel efficiency of 22.22 km/l.
The i20 Turbo Edition, which has been designed, engineered and built in Europe, is based on the Hyundai i20 SE grade. Standard equipment on the Turbo Edition include automatic lights with dusk sensor, 16-inch alloy wheels, black + grey interiors, leather-wrapped steering wheel, cruise control with speed limiter, 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with satellite navigation and reversing camera. Exterior colour choices include Polar White, Aqua Sparkling, Sleek Silver, Stardust Grey, Phantom Black and Red Passion.
