Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL), the country’s second largest car manufacturer and the largest passenger car exporter, registered around 3.9% growth in Exports for the month of September 2012. The domestic sales accounted for 30,851 units compared to 35,955 units for the same month last year.

Commenting on the sales, Mr Rakesh Srivastava, Vice President, National Sales, HMIL said, “We expect the suppressed demand would improve on account of festive purchases as the demand peaks during this period. The neo Elantra, a modern premium brand has received an overwhelming customer response making it a top performer in the executive segment.”
