We have been reporting in detail from the time the news about Hyundai Eon 1.0 liter surfaced. Now, according to a report, the Hyundai Eon 1.0 liter bookings have commenced and deliveries are expected to happen sometime next month. According to the report, the 1.0 liter engine equipped Hyundai Eon is only available in mid-spec Magna variant. Features available on this variant include AC, power steering, and front power windows. Also, the car comes with an immobilizer, keyless entry and 13-inch wheels with full wheel covers. The Magna variant misses out on the music-system though.

The 1.0 liter engine in the Eon is a three pot mill, which is most likely the one from the Euro-spec Hyundai i10. In the European Hyundai i10, this engine churns out a max power of 65 bhp and 9.7 kgm of peak torque. The new Hyundai Eon 1.0 will dismiss the 0-100 kmph mark in less than 14 seconds, and will keep accelerating to a top whack of around 160 kmph.
Although the car gets a new engine, there have been no cosmetic upgrades or changes to the car. With the 1.0 liter engine, the Eon will be locking horns with the Maruti Suzuki Alto K10, Chevrolet Spark 1.0 and the latest blockbuster, the Maruti Suzuki Celerio.
The Hyundai Eon 1.0 liter Magna variant has been priced at INR 3.85 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai) for the metallic shade version.
