Honda to launch 100cc Splendor Rival in March

With the introduction of the 2023 Activa 6G, Honda Motorbike and Scooter India officially jumped on the new year bandwagon. The Japanese company is prepared with a brand-new 100cc bike that will compete with the Hero Splendor, the indisputable leader of the segment, in order to further extend its line-up in the inexpensive two-wheeler market.

What to Expect?

The bike will undoubtedly have a straightforward style, similar to the brand’s CD 110 Dream Deluxe, as it will be marketed towards the entry-level inexpensive segment. We can also anticipate the two-wheeler to have exceptional fuel efficiency numbers thanks to the 100cc engine. Given that it will compete with the CD 110 Dream Deluxe, which has an ex-showroom price of Rs. 71,133, Honda will undoubtedly price the new car well below the Rs. 70,000 threshold. For comparison, the Hero Splendor Plus, which is its direct counterpart, costs between Rs. 72,076 and Rs. 73,396. (ex-showroom). The 100cc engine will be a single-cylinder, air-cooled engine with a 4-speed transmission, producing roughly 8 or 9 horsepower and 8 Nm of maximum torque.

According to various media estimates, Honda will likely introduce its new 100cc motorcycle in March of this year. The new motorcycle, once it is released, will compete with models like the Hero Splendor Plus, Splendor Plus XTEC, Hero HF Deluxe, HF 100, and Bajaj Platina 100, among others.

The two-wheeler will probably be outfitted with Fuel Injection technology in accordance with current market norms. Honda’s new 100cc motorcycle will undoubtedly improve sales, and with that, the Japanese company is vying for Hero MotoCorp’s top slot, which is now held by Honda. The two-wheeler will stand out from the crowd thanks to its affordable pricing, stylish design, exceptional fuel efficiency numbers, and certain amenities.
