Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) in association with Delhi Police (Traffic) participated in the 32nd India International Trade Fair at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi from 14-27 November, 2012.

Honda, in addition to it’s three activities of Sales, Service & Spares has a unique “4S” activity in India, with the 4th “S” as promotion of Safety Riding. Honda actively participated with Delhi Police- Traffic at their pavilion in IITF. Safety was promoted among the young ones through primary activities including role plays & interactive games to make them learn the “fun way”. Also expanding the fun quotient, kids from 5-8 years of age were given a chance to win gifts by participating in Special Painting Competition engaging more than 1000 kids.

For Children, Honda brought its CRF 50 model to help young minds understand the importance of safety riding and trained 1100 kids in the age group of 9-12 years by giving them a practical riding experience in a specially designed & protected road environment. Parents were educated on not providing vehicles to kids before they are legally aged for riding/driving. Kids & parents were also given instantly printed safe family framed photographs.

Riding trainer (also present at every Honda dealership across India), helped aiding riders above 16 years of age to experience over 100 possible dangers on the road. Increasing their ability to predict & react to the ever changing riding conditions by creating awareness & knowledge about potential risks & solutions to more than 2000 visitors during trade fair through this virtual experience.

This initiative received an overwhelming response from more than 50,000 visitors. People from all age groups highly appreciated Honda’s cause towards spreading knowledge & awareness on road safety.
