Honda Cars India Limited, have launched the City CNG today. The new, modified car is available in a bi-fuel option now with an addition price of Rs 50,200 for the kit, and additional installation charges. The new Honda City CNG will be available in V grade which will get retrofitted by a Honda approved CNG kit at all the 45 Honda dealerships in 25 cities where CNG fuel option is available.
Honda claim to have made some changes to the CNG variant’s engine for better adaptation with CNG as fuel. The CNG variant of the City apparently has an optimized 1.5L, 4 cylinder i-VTEC engine. The suspension has been modified to adjust the additional weight of the CNG cylinder to offer similar driving experience as that of the petrol City.
Rohan BRC has been appointed as the authorized dealer for providing the CNG kit. The modified Honda City will come with a 2 year warranty as standard value for all buyers.
New AVN grade City with ‘ Interactive Intelligence’
Apart from the introduction of the CNG variant, the company has also introduced a new variant. The City 1.5V Leather with AVN (Audio Visual Navigation) has been introduced in the City line-up which will have some additional features. The new features are listed below:

The features are in addition to CD Player, USB/I-Pod/Aux-in connectivity and Leather upholstery, Leather wrapped steering wheel and Leather wrapped Gear Shift Knob which are already available. Honda, thus, have expanded the range of the City with two more variants in the lineup. The City will
now be available in the following versions:

- V MT/AT,
- V (Leather with Sunroof) MT/AT
- V (AVN) MT/AT (new)
- V MT modified for CNG kit fitment (new).
