Japanese car maker Honda has launched the Civic Black Edition in UK, following the launch of similar versions of the CR-V and Jazz.
Unlike the India-spec Civic which was sold as a sedan, the Civic is sold in the UK as a five-door hatchback. The Honda Civic Black Edition adopts a sinister look with an all-black treatment and some glossy elements for an extra touch. The side skirts and exterior mirror housings also get the black treatment, while the roof-mounted spoiler has a glossy black finish. The car also gets an aluminum “Black Edition” logo, a glossy black fuel lid cover and black alloy wheels.
Leon Brannan, Head of Cars at Honda (UK) commented: “Once again we are doing all we can to bring down the cost of ownership for our customers with some very competitive offers on the ever-popular Civic. We are also very pleased to be introducing the special Black Edition which delivers the same versatility, refinement and efficiency which Civic customers want but with even further standout appeal.”
The Honda Civic Black Edition will be available with a 1.6 liter i-DTEC diesel motor which will churn out 120 PS (88 kW) of max power and 300 Nm (221 lb-ft) of peak torque. Also on offer is the 1.8 i-VTEC petrol mill which pumps out 142 PS (104 kW) of max power and 174 Nm (128 lb-ft) of peak torque.
Honda is offering the Civic Black Edition in UK from 249 GBP / month with three year’s 0% APR and 500 GBP deposit contribution. Special offers for the regular Civic and Civic Tourer are also available, along with Black Editions of the CR-V and Jazz.
