Honda CBR250R and CBR150R Most Likely Discontinued; Go Missing From Website

The Honda CBR250R and the CBR150R have been discontinued and the motorcycles have gone missing from Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India’s official website.

The motorcycles did not comply with the new BS-IV emission norms. In fact, before the new emission norms kicked in, Honda offered the Navi free along with both the models to clear the BS-III inventory. Surprisingly, back in August 1, 2016, Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India Senior Vice President, Yadvinder Guleria stated that the Indian arm of the Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer will not be bringing the CBR250RR and the CBR300R in the country.

With the discontinuation of the CBR250R, there’s a big void in Honda’s portfolio in the quarter-litre space. It is still not clear weather Honda will bring the motorcycles with an updated engine or launch the new motorcycles in the segment.

Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India has still not released any official statement about the further course of action but we hope to hear some announcement in the coming weeks. While we wait for that, let us know your views about Honda axing the CBR250R and CBR150R from its official website?
