The Honda Activa stands as one of the leading scooter models in India. Ahead of upcoming emission norms, Honda has launched the updated version of Activa 125. The new 2023 Activa 125 features an OBD2 update, ensuring compliance with the latest BS6 phase-2 emission regulations.
Updates in the powertrain of Activa 125
Honda has updated the powertrain of the Activa 125 with an updated OBD technology. Now, the updated powertrain is ready to meet the latest emission norms. Mechanically, this scooter is powered by a 125cc 4-stroke PGM-Fi petrol engine which makes 6.1kW of power and 10.4nm of torque.
The new Honda Activa 125 comes with Enhanced Smart Power (eSP) technology. This technology is introduced to ensure more fuel combustion with less friction. Honda claims that this technology optimizes the energy output and ensures lower NVH levels of the engine.
The Aesthetics of Activa 125
The 2023 Honda Activa 125 boasts a bold and eye-catching design. Its front end is highlighted by a full LED headlamp and signature LED position lamps that have been given a fresh new look. The chrome element between the turn indicators enhances the bold look of this scooter. At the rear, a beautifully crafted grabrail and tail accentuate the scooter’s overall design. The Activa 125 also features 12-inch alloy wheels at the front and 10-inch alloy wheels at the rear.
Features and practicality of Activa 125
The new 2023 Activa 125 comes with a host of features enhancing the convenience of riders. The updated Activa 125 features an engine kill switch and smart key with keyless entry and ignition adding to the convenience. Honda has updated the digital-analog cluster of Activa 125. The updated cluster shows numerous details like total trip distance, clock, ECO indicator, and service due indicator. It also displays other fuel efficiency-related information, giving riders a more comprehensive understanding of their scooter’s performance.
Not only the new Activa 125 is feature loaded, but it is practical too. Honda Activa 125 boasts a Two Lid Fuel Opening System, designed to provide riders with maximum convenience. The updated Activa 125 also gets a glove box enhancing the practicality of the scooter. The 18L storage space has been revamped to optimize the available area and accommodate more items, in addition to a helmet.
About the Suspension, brakes, and tires
The New Activa125 boasts a sturdy metal body that delivers on its promise of reliability and durability. The Combi-Brake System (CBS) with Equalizer and 3-step adjustable rear suspension ensures an optimized braking performance. Honda Activa 125 gets telescopic suspension forks for smooth and comfortable ride quality.
In addition, Activa125 features Tubeless Frictionless tires that provide superior handling, boosting rider confidence. These tires minimize energy loss while maintaining optimum grip, enhancing overall riding performance.
Pricing, Variants, and Colour Options
To meet the diverse needs of buyers, Honda has introduced the updated Activa 125 in various color options and variants. The scooter is available in five color options, including Pearl Black, Metallic Gray, Rebel Red, Precious White, and Mid Night Blue. All 4 variants are categorized based on the brakes and rims of the scooter, with the top-end variant featuring H-smart locking, alloys, and front disc brakes. The price range of the new Activa 125 varies from Rs. 78,920-88,093 Ex-showroom.
