The Hero HX250R is powered by a brand new 249cc, 4 stroke single cylinder DOHC, liquid cooled motor which churns out 31 PS of max power and will come mated to a six speed constant mesh transmission. The lightweight and powerful quarter-liter vehicle has been jointly developed by Hero Motocorp, America’s Eric Buell Racing (EBR), AVL (Austria) and Engines Engineering.

At the front, the HX250R gets twin telescopic hydraulic shock absorbers, while at the rear it gets a monoshock with 5 step adjustable preload and shim valve damping. Stopping power comes from a 300mm, triple piston caliper with optional ABS. The rear wheel gets a 220mm linked disc unit with combined braking and ABS as an option.
