Hero Electric Flash E-Scooter Range Now Starts At INR 29,990

Hero Electric has announced a limited time discount offer of INR 7,088 on its most affordable electric scooter –  Flash. The lead-acid powered version of the Flash now starts at INR 29,990 (PAN India) and INR 32,710 (North-East India). The EV brand has also announced Paytm benefits of up to INR 10,500 on its range of lithium-ion powered scooter and Flash lead-acid.

The Flash is aimed at young and first-time buyers of electric two-wheelers. This low cost and lightweight e-scooter features modern design and offers a cost-effective alternative to ICE scooters. The feature list on the e-scooter includes comfortable seats, LEDheadlights, mobile charging, and regenerative braking. Moreover, with a kerb weight of only 69 kg, the Flash is easy to manoeuvre and balance in tight spaces. Hero Electric’s Flash is available across the country through its 615 touchpoints. Hero Electric also has products like the Dash, Nyx, Optima, and Photon LP in its portfolio. Among these, the Dash was launched at a starting price of INR 62,000. It is powered by a 48v, 28 Ah Li-Ion battery which is fast-charging enabled and can be recharged in about 4 hours. With a full charge, the new Dash can go for 60 km per charge.

The electric wave has also hit big names like Bajaj Auto and Tata, who have introduced products like the Chetak Electric and Nexon EV, respectively. Where the former has already been launched at a starting price of INR 1 lakh, the latter will be formally launched in the coming days between INR 15 – 17 lakh. An established player in the EV space, Ather Energy is also about to launch the new 450X electric scooter, which promises to be feature-packed and offer much more than the 450.

At the upcoming Auto Expo 2020, new entrants like Haval will showcase electric cars, in addition to global carmakers like Volkswagen. The charging infrastructure for electric vehicles is also growing in and around Metros and going forward, we will see a lot of new electric vehicles coming our way in 2020.
