Harley-Davidson has added a fresh motorcycle to its cruiser family, and this one has a very different personality. The new Deadwood brings together classic American bobber styling with modern mechanicals and rider technology. It gets a low riding position, dark styling, a powerful V twin engine and a long list of safety features. The motorcycle has been revealed for the North American market and will make its first public appearance at the famous Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in August.
Harley-Davidson Deadwood Design
One look at the Deadwood makes its purpose clear. The motorcycle gets an almost completely black finish that gives it a bold road presence. The engine, exhaust, handlebar, front fork, headlamp housing, wheels and several other parts are finished in black.
Some key design highlights include:
- Denim Black paint with orange graphics on the fuel tank
- 19 litre teardrop shaped fuel tank
- Solo tuck and roll seat
- Black wire spoke wheels with tubeless rims
- Short detachable windscreen
- No saddlebags for a cleaner look
- Low 648mm seat height
The missing saddlebags also leave the Softail frame fully visible, giving the motorcycle a clean and classic appearance.
