Attaining speeds of 100 km/h is difficult if you live in a city like Mumbai or rather any city with small roads, choked up traffic, and the likes. But today, our focus is not on Indian roads and their boy racers, but on one particular, real racer and the feat that he recently achieved in a controlled environment. We are talking about popular motorcycle racer Guy Martin. The 34 year old recently made his mark on history as he touched a whopping speed of 125 km/ph (78.15 mph). What’s so special you ask? Martin took his motorcycle on the wall of death when he accomplished the speed of 78.15 mph. The earlier top speed record was for 60 mph or 100 km/h.

Martin took two bikes out of which one was used in the largest wall of death in the world, a structure measuring 120 feet (39 meters) in diameter. The motorcycle used for the stunt was a BSA Triple which Guy and his father collectively worked on for more than a year. Reports suggested that Guy wanted to take another shot for the record but Channel 4, the network for which it was being shot, had a limited time frame as it was a live event.

Enough of talking now, how about watching the daredevil perform the stunt in the video. Following is the video for Guy Martin breaking a speed record for the wall of death:
