It’s all going good for Google, and to dip in the success, Vice President Benjamin Sloss, also an ardent gear-head and renown Ferrari collector, bought himself a stunning yellow LaFerrari, one of 499 ever made. On his personal Instagram account (@yonly65), Sloss posted pictures of his yellow hyper-car. These include images of the new LaFerrari next to his McLaren P1, which his wife drives.
The LaFerrari is the most ambitious car launched by Ferrari is the first ever production car to be equipped with the F1-derived hybrid solution – the HY-KERS system – which combines the power of an electric motor producing over 150 CV with the most powerful incarnation yet of Ferrari’s classic V12. The 6262cc V12 produces 789 bhp and including the electric motor produces a total of over 950 bhp, that endows it to reach a staggering maximum speed of 350 Km/Hour. 100 km/hr is dispatched in under 3 seconds, while a 7-speed dual-clutch automated manual transmission sends power to the rear wheels.
LaFerrari FXX K
The announcement of his LaFerrari procurement comes following Sloss’s FXX K acquisition, the hardcore track-only LaFerrari derivative, which made its official debut at the 2014 Ferrari Finali Mondiali in Abu Dhabi. Just 32 units of the FXX K will ever be made, and the first one was picked up by Sloss. The car uses the same 6.3L V12 of the regular LaFerrari, but now pumps out 1035 bhp. Hailed as a pinnacle of Ferrari tech, the crowd-funded, motor-sport inspired, R&D based XX program started with the Enzo-based FXX, and continued with a 599XX variant. The LaFerrari-based FXX K program costs approximately 19 Crore INR, which buys you the car and two years of Ferrari’s stewardship. An even more extreme FXX K Evoluzione could also be in the cards, but it won’t come anytime soon.
