There has been a lot of bad blood between Global Vehicles of the USA and Mahindra & Mahindra of India. The two companies which at one point wished to work together to sell Mahindra’s vehicles in the US, couldn’t quite functiona together, leading to GV filing a lawsuit against the Indian carmaker.
Now it seems Global Vehicles has taken back the lawsuit. The move, however, should not be equated to truce, as the American company is doing it out of compulsion than choice. GV wants to put all its efforts into a British arbitration panel that will make a ruling on the matter in August. The arbitration panel had reported said that it won’t be able to rule on the matter if there was also a lawsuit in the States.
