Audi has officially introduced the S1 Sportback at the ongoing Geneva Motor Show 2014.

With the launch of the three-door Audi S1 and the S1 Sportback in the second half of this year, Audi will be converting the A1 Quattro limited-edition into a normal production model.
Available also as a three-door, the new S1 comes with a meaner body that includes a rear wing along with a quad exhaust. Under the hood of the Audi S1 is a 2.0 liter turbocharged four pot petrol motor, which produces a max power of 228 bhp and a peak torque of 37.7 kgm. These figures are less than the ‘EA113’ turbocharged 2.0 liter petrol mill used in the A1 Quattro by 24 bhp and 2 kgm. The Audi A1 Quattro enjoyed a limited production run in 2012.
According to Audi, the S1 will dismiss the 0-100 kmph mark in a scant 5.8 seconds in the three-door version,with the heavier five-door S1 Sportback taking 0.1 second more for the same feat. Both the versions have their top speed electronically limited at 250 kmph and ride on 17-inch rims with 215/40 R17 tires, and are equipped with xenon plus headlights and LED taillights. Stopping power at the front axle comes from 310 mm disc brakes equipped with red calipers that flaunt the “S1” logo.
Audi Germany has announced the S1 will cost 29,950 EUR, while the five-door Sportback will be priced at 30,800 EUR.
