Formula 1 Opus comes to India

Opus, the highly reputed and popular luxury publication house, has finally come to India with the global launch of its Official Formula 1 Opus. The Opus was launched just a day after the successful conclusion of 2012 Formula 1 Indian Grand Prix at Buddh International Circuit.

Through a strategic alliance with RK Global, Opus will be expanding its presence in the Indian market. The official launch was celebrated at an event co-hosted by Amit Bhagchandka, Group CEO, RK Global, Karl Fowler, CEO and Founder, Opus Media Group and was attended by Bollywood superstar Anil Kapoor. The evening was also attended by some F1 drivers, cricketers and politicians.

Anil Kapoor signed the Official Formula 1 Opus #1 copy which has 852 pages and weighs 37kgs. The Official Formula 1 Opus is the biggest and heaviest publication ever on Formula One racing. Each edition is hand-bound in fine leather and silk.

There will be a limited number of only 100 Champions Editions, which will include a signature page hand signed by every living world champion driver. This edition will be protected in a black carbon-fibre clamshell case and will be offered for UK £20,000.

In addition bidding commenced today for the much sought after Number 1 copy of the Official Formula 1 Opus as it embarks on a global tour visiting 20 countries around the world during the F1 calendar. The special Number 1 copy will be signed by VIPs from the world of Formula 1 and celebrity fans and ultimately returning to Delhi to be auctioned for a collection of charities back in Delhi during the 2013 Grand Prix weekend. The Number 1 copy will leave India this year with a starting bid of $100,000.
