With the new promotional videos that Ford Motor Company has been rolling out of their media studio, we have learnt that the company is not just going full throttle, but also all crazy, in getting the promotions done. The company’s online video channel is weekly updated with various hilarious videos. One such series of clips that Ford keeps renewing is the OverDubs, in which different clips from movies, games and cartoons are re-dubbed in order to promote the automaker’s Ford Focus, Fusion, and the EcoBoost engine. The advertising folks at Ford have particularly come up with a new chain of videos for the Ecoboost engine under the name – The Boost. The Boost video series comprises of three experiments conducted by Swedish actor, director and martial artist Dolph Lundgren. Lundgren also happens to be a chemical engineer which makes him suitable for the crazy-scientist role.
The performer uses Ford’s latest Ecoboost engine to power up a skateboard, a blender, and a ball launcher. With the engine strapped to these the maker calls them the Blender of Brutality, Superior Skateboard, and the Ballistic Ball Launcher.
- Blender of Brutality: When a normal kitchen blender is not able to handle the Ecoboost power, Lundgren makes a new heavy duty blender that draws power from the 1.0L EcoBoost engine.
- Superior Skateboard: Next is the skateboard that gets strapped to the 123 hp unit and is capable of doing speeds up to 100kmph and above.
- Ballistic Ball Launcher: Lastly, the engine meets a baseball launcher and propels the ball into the air with speeds up to 320kmph.
