The earlier generation of Ford Fiesta sedan, which is now sold as the Ford Classic, continues to enjoy a decent demand in the Indian car market and thanks to the aggressive price cuts and attractive offers, has become an indirect rival to the highly popular Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire and the likes.

Ford has now come up with a new limited edition CLXi variant that should help the car look as an even more enticing proposition for the entry level C segment sedan buyers.

The Ford Classic CLXi limited edition variant gets seven new features that further lengthen the already long equipment list (for its segment and price). These features are as follows-

The new Ford Classic CLXi limited edition variant gets a set of front fog lamps, which were until now available only on the Titanium top of the line variant.

The CLXi variant also gets a set of alloy wheels that again have been borrowed from the high end Titanium variant. The car rides on 175/65 R-14 spec tubeless tires.

The car also gets chrome garnishing above the rear number plate housing. This feature was binned back when the Fiesta became the Classic.

The car also gets a bootlid spoiler. This is the same chunky looking spoiler that was seen on the Fiesta S performance oriented variant.

The front grill gets chrome garnishing for that “premium” feel.

Other than the host of exterior styling upgrades, the car also gets more premium seat covers and rear reverse parking sensors

The bookings for the new car begin on June 14 and the petrol variant is expected to cost approx INR 6.75 lakhs ex showroom.
