Force Citiline launched at Rs. 15.94 Lakhs

One of the largest Utility Vehicle makers, Force has launched a new MPV, named Citiline. Force Citiline will replace their outgoing MUV known as the Cruiser. Now, Citiline has joined the people mover space of this company along with Urbania and Gurkha. Let’s have a look at the details of the latest versatile people mover: –

Seating Configurations

The new Force Citiline is available with a front-facing 10-seating configuration. This configuration results in convenient transportation as a people mover. This MPV is launched in only a single 10-seater variant priced at Rs. 15.94 Lakhs Ex-showroom. Force has made its seating layout in a 2+3+2+3 front-facing configuration. The first row consists of one seat for the driver and one for a passenger. While the second row consists of 3 passenger seats with a 60:40 split for better ingress and egress. The split feature enhances the convenience of accessing the last row of seats. And the last two rows consist of 2 and 3-passenger seats respectively.

Design, Utility, and Features

The new Force Citiline is a rebadged version of their Toofan MUV which was used as an Ambulance, Cash Van, and Crew Van. The overall design language of this MPV is boxy and basic. Yet, the new Citiline has a rejigged front fascia comprising of new composite Headlights, a new grille, large windows, tweaked bumpers, and painted panels. However, the door handles and ORVMs are not painted as the body color. The rear fascia of the new Citiline has a Spare wheel cover, new Taillights, and the rear windscreen with wipers.

The new Force Citiline features a neatly laid-out interior with necessary features and utilities. This MPV gets 60:40 split bucket seats, optimum legroom for passengers, a dual AC system, and an attractive central console. Force Motors has enhanced the convenience of passengers with power windows, power steering, and ABS with EBD for the best braking performance. However, the MUV misses out on a music system. Yet, the manufacturer has provided a provision for a 2-din head unit.

Powertrain and Suspension

At the heart of the matter of the Force Citiline is the BS6 phase-2 compliant tried and tested powertrain. This MUV is powered by a 2.6L 4-cylinder FM2.6 CR turbo diesel engine producing 91hp and 250nm of output. The engine’s power is channeled to the rear wheels via a smooth-shifting 5-Speed Synchromesh Manual Transmission. The new Force Citiline features an Independent Double Wishbone Suspension setup at the front and parabolic leaf springs at the rear. This suspension setup is tweaked for smooth and pliant ride quality.
