Essentially a rebadged vehicle which is a Ssangyong under all that badging, the flagship Mahindra G4 Rexton has been revealed at the Auto Expo 2018. It has been fitted with a new toothy grille, Mahindra badges and will be given a brand new identity in the form a new name, before its formal launch.
The SUV comes fitted with a 2.2-litre engine which delivers 178 hp of power and 420 Nm of torque to all four wheels, paired with a 7-speed Mercedes-Benz Automatic transmission. Equipment on the new car includes HID headlamps, LED DRLs, an electric sunroof, dual-zone automatic climate control, ventilated seats, 8″ touchscreen infotainment with GPS navigation, 9 airbags, electronic parking brake and much more.
The cabin has been appointed with soft-touch plastics and premium upholstery for all the three rows of seats to offer a rich experience to anyone who buys into the flagship Mahindra. Our guess it that it would most likely be called the XUV700 before it goes on sale sometime before the arrival of the festive season in India.
