Five Cars Launching Soon in India

Although the Indian festive season is more than a couple of months away, car makers in India are prepping themselves to launch their new offerings in the Indian market. Here in this post we list 5 cars launching in the month of June and July this year. So before you go car shopping, have a look at this article and make a wise decision of choosing the perfect car for yourself.

1) Maruti Suzuki S-Cross :

At the IIFA Awards on June 7, Maruti Suzuki will be unveiling the S-Cross in Malaysia. With the S-Cross, Maruti Suzuki will be making an entry into the compact SUV segment.  Powering the S-Cross will be 1.6 liter petrol and diesel engines. The 1.6 liter diesel engine churn out 118 bhp of max power and will come mated to a six-speed manual gearbox.

Launch Date : First week of July

Expect price : INR 8-12 lakh,

Competition : Renault Duster, Ford Ecosport and Nissan Terrano.

2) Honda Jazz :

Honda will be launching the new gen Jazz in India after the earlier model failed to garner enough sales for the Japanese brand. Honda will be also launching the diesel variant of the Jazz powered by the same 1.5 liter diesel mill from the Amaze compact sedan. The petrol engine will be the same 1.2 liter block with some minor upgrades. Honda will also launch a petrol CVT automatic variant.

Launch Date : 8th July

Expected price : INR 5-8 lakh

Competition : Hyundai i20, Volkswagen Polo

3) Hyundai Creta

Hyundai will be unveiling its new global compact SUV Creta in India next month. The Creta will be powered by petrol and diesel engines and also available would be a diesel automatic variant. The Hyundai Creta measures more than 4 metres in length and will be launched in the month of July. The production of the Creta will commence on June 20.

Launch Date : 21 July

Expected Price : INR 8-12 lakh

Competition : Ford Ecosport, Renault Duster and Nissan Terrano

4) Volkswagen Vento Facelift

We recently drove the facelifted Volkswagen Vento (click here for our review) and found it pretty impressive. Volkswagen has treated the Vento with a minor cosmetic upgrade and added a whole lot of features including cruise control which is a first for its class. The Vento will be sold with the same engine options as the outgoing model and will be launched in the last week of this month.

Launch Date : 23rd June

Expected price : INR 8-12 lakh

Competition : Hyundai Verna, Skoda Rapid, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, Honda City

5) Audi Q3 Facelift

Audi Q3 face-lift

The 2015 Audi Q3 facelift will be launched in India this month. Audi has given the Q3 a minor cosmetic upgrade on the outside as well as inside. The Audi Q3 will continue to be powered by the 2.0 liter TDi mill from the older model with some mechanical upgrades. Also on sale will be the manual variant which will transfer power to the front wheels via a 6 speed manual gearbox.

Launch Date : 18th June

Expected price : INR 27-35 lakh

Competition : BMW X1
