$75 million, or approximately INR 481 Crore. That’s how much RM Sotheby’s Pinnacle Portfolio is expected to fetch at its flagship Monetery sale in California (13-15 August, 2015). The Pinnacle Portfolio is a carefully curated assortment of rare, hand picked exotics from the automotive world, spawning 1950s and 1960s racing cars to contemporary supercars.
Of the 30 car strong collection’s many stars include a road-race hybrid 1998 McLaren F1 “The Road Going LM” and the very last, incredibly low mileage (180 Km) Ferrari Enzo to be built – then gifted by Luca di Montezemolo to the late Pope John Paul II.
There are two Bugatti Veyrons, including the first one ever to roll off the production line. Other rarities include a Jaguar XJ220 and a 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL, one of only 29 made with an all-aluminum body.
Further blasts from the past come from an original Ferrari 250 LM, a timeless Lamborghini Miura P400 SV, a pristine Toyota 2000GT and a beautiful Ferrari 250 GT LWB California Spider.
Other contemporary, rarified action comes from a stealthy Lamborghini Reventon, one of 20 ever made, an enigmatic Maserati MC12, of which only 50 exist, an iconic Ferrari F40 as well as a F50, a Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren, the legendary Porsche 959 and many more.
