Bookings for the Vida, Hero MotoCorp’s first electric scooter, have been accepted in Delhi, Bengaluru, and Jaipur. By paying a nominal fee of Rs 2,499, users can reserve their Vida. This will be deducted from the final cost at the time of purchase or fully refundable. Hero intends to provide Vida in more than 200 places nationwide by the year 2022.
Hero recently inaugurated Bengaluru’s first Vida experience centre. The Vida experience centres in Delhi and Jaipur will open for business in the upcoming weeks. Vida electric scooter deliveries have finally begun. Hero MotoCorp’s Chairman and CEO, Dr. Pawan Munjal, handed over the company’s first electric scooter to a client in Bangalore.

V1 Plus and V1 Pro are the two variations of the Hero Vida. The two have a major variation in installed battery capacity and range. V1 Plus’ battery capacity is 3.44 kWh, while V1 Pro’s is 3.94 kWh. Dual battery packs for each scooter are 1.72 kWh and 1.97 kWh, respectively. The range of the V1 Plus is 143 km, and the V1 Pro is 165 km. The Pro model accelerates more quickly, taking just 3.2 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 40 kmph. In 3.4 seconds, the Plus variant completes that.
The performance figures for both Vida variations are 6 kW of maximum power and 25 Nm of maximum torque. Gradeability is 20 degrees, and top speed is 80 kilometres per hour. The riding modes for both variations are Eco, Ride, and Sport. A further Custom riding mode with more than 100 combinations is added to the Pro model. Weight-wise, the Pro variant is 1 kg heavier than the Plus variant at 125 kg.

Charge times for the Plus and Vida Pro variants in a domestic setting are 5 hours 15 minutes and 5 hours 55 minutes, respectively. With a fast charger, the V1 Plus and V1 Pro can be fully charged in around 2 hours and 2 hours and 20 minutes.
All-LED projector headlamp, 7-inch TFT display with OTA support, Bluetooth, 4G, Wi-Fi, anti-theft alarm, geofence, track my bike, vehicle diagnostics, cruise control, SOS warning, regenerative braking, and reverse functionality are common characteristics for both variations of the Vida electric scooter. The warranties for batteries and vehicles are respectively 3 years/30,000 km and 5 years/50,000 km.
