Mahindra & Mahindra flagged off the 1st edition of the ‘Mahindra Adventure Kashmir to Kanyakumari Drive’ from July 9th to July 24th, under the Mahindra Adventure umbrella brand. As part of the Mahindra Adventure Kashmir to Kanyakumari drive, 27 expedition-ready Mahindra vehicles will drive from Srinagar to Kanyakumari, a distance of 4,500 kms. The list of vehicles will include Mahindra Scorpio, XUV500, Tharalongside newer entrants to the Mahindra stablelike, NuvoSport and TUV300.
Popularly known as K2K, this journey starts with a beautiful sunrise at the enchanting Nageenlake and follows the iconic Mughal road to reach Amritsar via the magnificent Dhauladhar range in Dharamshala. From here the convoy enters into the royal state of Rajasthan. After experiencing the splendor, the convoy moves west to the camps of DesadaRann. From here the journey moves south towards Goa, where it makes a detour towards Masangudi, near the Mudumalai National Park and Wildlife Sanctuary, a tiger reserve in Karnataka. The last stretch of drive takes the convoy from the Nilgiri range towards Kanyakuamari, the southernmost tip of the India, with a felicitation ceremony at Kovalam.
Through this drive, Mahindra Adventure is also promoting the message on ‘Road Safety’ with emphasis on wearing seat belts and helmets. This 16-day K2K cross country drive will offer a Himalayan driving experience to all and sundry (for both Mahindra and non-Mahindra owners) by providing adequate backup. The official title partner for the event is CEAT tyres with Vavoline being the associate partner and Victorinox as the official merchandise partner.
