Next week, Italy will have Fiat’s new Strada pick up truck on offer. The pick up is being made in manufacturer’s Brazil plant. The revamped pick up will be offered in three body styles-short cab, long cab and the four-seater crew cab. Fiat is also offering the pick up in an ‘Adventure crew cab’ variant with a raised suspension, extensive body cladding, electronic locking differential called E-Locker and 205/65 R15 off-road tires.
The payload capacity of this truck ranges from 630kg to 705 kg (1,388 to 1,555 pounds) depending on the version.
Power comes courtesy the popular 1.3-litre Multijet diesel engine that will pump out 95 bhp of power and churn out 200Nm of pulling power at 1,500 rpm. The prices for this pick up ranges between US$16,700 for base model of single Cab US$20,700 for the flagship Adventure Crew Cab version.
It may be noted that we have Tata Xenon and Mahindra Getaway & Genio, based on Scorpio & Xylo respectively, on sale in India and Fiat Strada will make some sense in Indian market.
