EXCLUSIVE: New Hero Hunk facelift snapped at dealership

The upcoming Hero MotoCorp Hunk facelift was spotted last month, completely undisguised, with new graphics, updated headlight and a side stand indicator clubbed into the instrument panel. The motorcycle appeared to be delivery ready with all the regular bells and whistles. While we are yet to receive an official launch date from Hero MotoCorp, one of our readers,  Mr LaluKrishnan has sent us the images of the upcoming Hunk snapped at a dealership.

The motorcycles seen at the dealership are equipped with the mandatory saree guard and crash guards but are yet to receive rear-view mirrors and exhaust heat shield – that should not take long to install. As reported earlier, in terms of design, the upcoming motorcycle will receive a new headlight and an updated instrument cluster which will now house a side-stand indicator. The rest of the motorcycle will carry forward the trademark muscular look of the current generation model.

Mechanical details are not clear yet but there might be a slight bump in the power output from that 149.2cc air-cooled single cylinder engine, 15.6 bhp, in our estimation – similar to what is seen on the updated Xtreme Sport.

The new Hero MotoCorp Hunk, once launched, will compete against the upcoming and existing products such as the Honda Hornet 160, Suzuki Gixxer 155 and the Yamaha FZ-S. We expect the new Hero MotoCorp Hunk to carry a premium of about Rs 3,000 – 5,000 over the current generation model. Here are some more images of the upcoming Hero MotoCorp Hunk facelift snapped at the dealership. Don’t forget to share your views about the new Hunk with us through the comments section below.
