EXCLUSIVE : New 2018 Triumph Tiger 800 India Bookings (Unofficial) Open

Adventure motorcycling aficionados, here’s some great piece of news. Triumph Motorcycles’ dealerships have commenced the unofficial bookings for the upcoming 2018 Tiger 800 motorcycle range in India for a token amount of INR 1 lakh. The deliveries of the new 2018 Triumph Tiger 800 range are scheduled to commence by the end of April 2018. Unveiled at the 2017 EICMA show, the new 2018 Triumph Tiger 800 range, similar to the previous generation motorcycle, will be divided in XR and XC series.

The Tiger 800 XR offers the most road-focused adventure set-up across four new models, each packed with its own dedicated level of new technology and equipment. The new Tiger 800 XR features over 200 chassis and engine upgrades and a whole new level of technology, performance and capability for all-road, all-day comfort.

The Tiger 800 XC range, on the other hand, has never had as much off-road capability and all-road comfort. With two models to choose from, both with more style, premium bodywork, and a dedicated set-up of technology and equipment the new Tiger 800 XC range is built to be as great off-road as it’s always been on.

The Tiger 800 range is now packed with more advanced technology than any of its predecessors. Some of the features on the new range include:

  • Adjustable full-colour TFT instruments
  • Up to six riding modes including the XC range’s new ‘Off-Road Pro’ riding mode
  • Illuminated backlit switchcubes and 5-way joystick
  • All-LED signature lighting with LED main headlight, tail light, indicators, Daytime Running Lights (DRL*), and auxiliary lights

Mechanically, the 800cc in-line three-cylinder engine delivers 95PS of power @ 9,500 rpm and 79Nm of torque @ 8,050 rpm. The engine comes mated to a six-speed transmission.

We expect to hear an official announcement from Triumph Motorcycles at the 2018 Auto Expo in Delhi.
